Eco Hotel Announces Chinampa Taqueria Grand Opening in Tagaytay
Eco Hotel is excited to announce the opening of its third restaurant venture, Chinampa Taqueria. The green hotel chain has recently been trying its luck in the food industry, with this Mexican restaurant as its latest brainchild. The grand opening is set on October 31st, 2018 at 6 PM in Cabins by Eco Hotel, Tagaytay.
Chinampa is the first passion project by Chef Elgin Alonso upon returning to the Philippines. Elgin was previously the Sous Chef at the Ritz Carlton Dubai, and came back home to Manila earlier this year. He wanted to introduce authentic Mexican cuisine to the Filipino palette, and after surveying the Tagaytay food scene discovered that this was exactly what was missing.
The roof deck at Cabins by Eco Hotel provides a quaint and unique location for this taqueria, with its unobstructed view of Taal lake and an open-air set up to enjoy the chilly Tagaytay weather. It’s a great way to enjoy classic Mexican dishes, such as soft tacos and burritos. Appetizers like Nachos and Chili Dynamite match perfectly with a cold beer.
Food is prepared fresh daily by Chef Elgin, as he also caters to the in-house guests. Chinampa offers Huevos Rancheros, a Mexican breakfast staple, for that extra authentic kick. The taqueria is open for lunch and dinner as well, Tuesdays to Sundays.
Eco Hotel would like to invite everyone to join us in opening Chinampa this Halloween! We will have live acoustic performances by popular local bands Lenses, Hilera and Autotelic. For only PHP 150 entrance fee, guests will get a free beer and unlimited nachos while supplies last.
For details and reservations, please visit www.ecohotels.com.ph or contact Millie Manahan, at 0927 673 7674..
Follow Chinampa on Facebook and Instagram @chinampaph. We hope to see you there! Andale, andale!

RELIVE AGUINALDO AND BONIFACIO’S LEGACIES THROUGH VIRTUAL REALITY ATAYALA MUSEUM
A year after Ayala Museum launched its game-changing diorama virtual reality immersive experience with the execution of Jose Rizal, the museum is now giving the virtual reality treatment to two more iconic historical figures: Andres Bonifacio and Emilio Aguinaldo.
Prominent figureheads in the Philippine revolution, the legacies of Bonifacio and Aguinaldo are often held in the same conversation that includes the other.
Though the paths they took diverged from one another, each path lead to the emergence of the Filipino nation.
Encouraged by the warm reception towards the first VR experience, the decision to expand theprogram was easy to make for the museum. Teaming up once again with I AM CARDBOARD to recreate this pivotal point in history, visitors using the 360 goggles will get to immerse themselves in the defining moments of Bonifacio and Aguinaldo’s stories.
“In this 2nd in the series of Diorama VRs, like a fly in the wall, we are privy to the backstory of the complex road to independence where all is not what it seems. That's what's great about VR immersive technology. It heightens empathy.” says Mariles Gustilo, Ayala Museum’s director.
This expansion brings four static scenes from the Ayala Museum dioramas to life that charted the course of Philippine History: the Cry of Pugad Lawin, the Tejeros Convention, the Trial and Execution of Andres Bonifacio, and the the Declaration of Philippine Independence; all leading towards the birth of the Filipino nation.
Renowned historian Prof. Ambeth Ocampo was once again brought on as the main consultant for the VR expansion.
On why those events in history were chosen for VR, he says,
“These are controversial events in Philippine history, one that encourages an emotional rather than historical response. VR makes the viewer revisit the past to see two heroes with two paths to the same objective: freedom. It underscores the sad reality that the road to nationhood is notclean and clear-cut as we would want it to be. So by going back into the past we learn abouthuman nature, we learn about the sacrifices made to become the nation we can be.”
The expansion of its virtual reality efforts is just another way the museum recognizes the importance of the digital experience in enhancing the traditional features of the museum. It is the museum’s way of saying that history need not be stuck in the past. It can go beyond books, monuments, and static figures in dioramas.
As emphasized by Ayala Foundation president Ruel T. Maranan, “Through the virtual reality experience, Ayala Museum encourages people to journey back in time, revisit our roots as a country, and learn lessons from the past that are still relevant to the present.”

Dude wala ako.
Well good thing that Got to ask the question from the entrepreneurs themselves, I'm satisfied on what entrepreneurship is and how can you call yourself as an entrepreneur.
Well ano?
What do you mean what?
Ano nga ba ang entrepreneur at entrepreneurship?
The entrepreneur is the person while entrepreneurship is the action. . . An entrepreneur don't just sell or negotiate things but they have the passion to innovate, improve and initiate negotiations , business and the lives of those who surrounds them they will pour passion on helping the lives of those they serve.
