Bunk Puppets Presents STICKS, STONES, AND BROKEN BONES - A Precious Gift by PETA

As a mom of a wonderful kid who loves to try everything under the sun, summer days are the most fun filled days I should ever have with him. Growing up with Phineas and Ferb show, everyday should be filled with something to do. As a mom,I need to be creative and make sure that he would be thanking me for having a great day. He is so excited to be able to join this summer for PETA's Bunk Puppets Presents - STICK, STONE, BROKEN BONES at the PETA Theater Center in New Manila.

I used to tell stories using puppets which I bought in leading department store... Sometimes I made images out of shadows as we used the flashlight underneath the blanket... We drew faces in our thumbs as we have our finger wrestler... We also had our time for making our puppets out of old socks... Such good times we had together...  I have never thought of having him brought in such puppet show that would surely love... that every child and child at heart will surely love... That is why his eyes were sparkling as I announced my surprise.

PETA Theater Center is offering us something that we can all be educated in the most enjoyable way this summer. As they partnered with Bunk Puppets from Melborne Australia, they bring us an internationally award shadow puppetry show entitled, STICK, STONE, BROKEN BONE. Using ordinary materials available everywhere you and your kids will absolutely be creative in telling stories and imagining fun-filled bonding with you or with their friends.

Sticks, Stones, Broken Bones is a hilarious fusion of shadow puppetry and physical theater that brought joy in dozens of countries. It's a visual feast for the imagination! Come, experience one man's playful vision of wonder and nonsense. Sticks, Stones, Broken Bones is a 50-minute non-verbal puppet comedy show for all ages. some bits are a wee bit scary for under 6 years old, so it is recommended that they are accompanied by their parents.

Dots -- My Entry for BDJ Sharpie de Mayo Challenge

I am really bad in coloring... I am worse in using Sharpie products... I am the worst in using Sharpie products as coloring materials.

As a teacher full of tons of loads in making visual aids, I use Sharpie because of the variant colors and permanent pigments. They give more life to my visual aids... I like going beyond what was given to me which are the old boring black permanent pens to make my visual aids. So regardless of the what was given, I buy permanent colors to have rainbows in my lessons... I use Sharpie.

Yesterday, as I browsed my Instagram account, I came across of the post of Belle De Jour Planner of having "SHARPIE DE MAYO", a passion series which everybody will surely learn and enjoy, and here is what they had posted...

"This coming May 6, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Staple and Perk, Makati, learn about coloring and designing in watercolor workshop with Sharpie x BDJ Passion Series: Sharpie de Mayo!

HERE'S HOW TO JOIN:

Option 1: Answer the question, “If you are a flower, what flower and color would you be?” Using your Sharpie pens, imagine and draw and color yourself as a flower.

Option 2: Florals are in! Post your favorite item that you own. Caption it answering why it’s your favorite floral item.

Don’t forget the following steps after choosing one invite mechanic option:
1. Make sure to set your posts to Public. Tag us in our Facebook: (@Belle de jour Power Planner @Sharpie). And Instagram or Twitter accounts: @BDJBuzz @sharpie using the hashtags #SharpieDeMayo # BDJXSharpie
2. Submit the link of your entries to ilovebdj.com/events. Make sure to complete your account details to get a valid entry!"

As for me...
oh my! I know how to draw... I know how to put on the colors... but I don't know how to use Sharpie as my coloring materials for it...
I thought of the simplest way yet requires great patience to control the flow of the colors... DOTTING on paper. I used corona water color paper, which of course, is very absorbent. Then using a pencil number 3 , I drew my flower... the flower that I loved most.... the flowers the pops anywhere in any kind of soil condition --An ORANGE DAISY.
An orange daisy that popped on my head... on my mind that no matter how dry and malnourished it is my head... still I am a beautiful flower that blooms and survives... and here is my finish product.

Image may contain: drawing
The shape of the dots depends on how you put the dots... upward it the best but I like mine in a slant way. The size of the dots depend on how large you want you dots... the quicker you remove your Sharpie the smaller it is...
This took me an hour to complete. In some what way it  relaxed me too as I finished this. I hope you would too... Try this for yourself...

A Night of Supreme Laughter - THE LAUGH OF THE CENTURY

I was one of the chosen few to be invited to witness one of the most incredible comedy show this summer of full of heat and burn--THE LAUGH OF THE CENTURY last April 21, 2017 at Century City Mall in Makati City. The night was full of laughter and fun, I almost peed in my pants. I was so focus on the comedy acts, I forgot to take pictures and take notes of the important details of the show. I had experienced the most unforgettable night of laughter with  with Alex CallejaWiner AguilarVictor Anastacio and James Caraan in my life so far. Such comic show that was filled with full entertainment that I considered myself very blessed to see them on the stage. They were all great! They touched our lives with amazing blast in the past of what common people like me had been going through. I really considered myself very blessed to share these laughter with few friends I have in my life. There should be a part 2 of this comedy acct. I bet people would surely enjoy them as they figuratively slapped me of the things in my life that "Hey! Don't be so hard on yourself... You can always choose between laughing about it or stressing hard about it.

The night would never be pushed through without the following:

And so what's the goal of this event??? At first I didn't have the good idea of what is going to happen... I hate my mom when she says "Just come! Don't ask questions! and so far this is the most AWESOME thing my mom done so far for us... As an art and craft enthusiast, I feast on many things that The Craft Central has to offer everyone!

The first one is the BAZAAR.

There are lots of things around here if don't have any idea of what you are going to do aside from diving in a pool with 40% urine into it. I was like really jumping and hugging my mom telling her "Ma what should I buy?" she reply "Well, it's up to you..."

My mom says one can not be ready to take care of a friend if one can not take care of a plant for more than a month. Why NOT
Taking home one of these and putting your own self in to a test of how to love and take care of one of the simplest living things like these cacti... My mom says "Porke halaman lang ok lang na mamamatay? Plants are living things like you. Every life should be loved and valued."

Image may contain: plant and flower
And you would love to take good care of these cacti in a dinosaur pot... What a better idea than in a sad black pot!
