Cafe Jerica as the most affordable eat all you can buffet

Because of the over whelming volume of people in Four Season Hot Pot by Vikings, I and my mom decided to have our dinner at Cafe Jerica at 13th Ave, Baranggay Socorro Cubao, Quezon City. This Little buffet place have something big for everyone of us. Well, all my mom ever wanted is to have a platter of salad and that's it. She loves customizing her own salad. All she ever wanted to have lettuces, pineapple, grated cheese, apples, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper  and corn kernels and some blue cheese sauce. And as for me, well, I have everything that I want. So here some of my favorite here that keeps us coming back.

Lechon - The only one that I really know. Mine was juicy and moist... very succulent 

Spicy Chicken Adobo - best with their chow pan

I forgot what is this but this is made of tender pork meat in gravy sweet sauce
with some veggies and pineapple tidbits. it is like a pork humba with white sauce

Smoke BBQ Baby Back Ribs- my mom single love in this little buffet place.
She really can't identify how sweet tangy salty it was in every bite. 

Morcon - I like this! it is like a pizza roll with everything I want. bell pepper,
meat, ham, cheese, pineapple, olives. oh my! i have this everyday

 chicken finger, baby back ribs

Cafe Jerica is one cozy place where you can sit with you friends and talk about everything under the sun without the pressure of others waiting for your table. Located at 13th near Araneta Center, it is very easy to go here. :) You can have everything on platter for 299.00 PHP only... Isn't that amzinngly afforable specially for having the love of Baby Back Ribs.

The Food Like My Mom's--GUMBO

I make sure that I and my son will have a trip or two in GUMBO--A Taste of New Orleans. That is whenever I do have a budget. When you hear New Orleans, it means that food from this place is cooked with generous ingredients and love. Actually, I love eating food cooked with lots of love. My mom used to cook hearty meals for us and for everybody else. Everything she cooked are called "SINALBAHE", even her JAMBALAYA version is also called SINALBAHE. What do you mean by SINALBAHE? My mom said it means everything good goes in the pot without measuring but would taste greater than the original. Whenever we are in Gumbo I remember my mom especially whenever we have the Seafood Jambalaya. 

When you have that huge fork and spoon which you are missing from home.

Last June 19, 2016, we dined in at The Atrium, Megamall, Mandaluyong City. This was our first Gumbo trip in Megamall. The place is nice for me. The light is cozy. The coach is comfy. The service crew are good and fast.The kitchen part is entertaining to watch. The music makes you fill alive. And the food is like my mom's sinalbahe. Who wouldn't like to eat something that your mom used to cook for you. i will keep coming back for more if I have the budget. Speaking of the budget. I have taken a great grab of buy1 take1 anything on the menu. And so I always have a Jambalaya. 

I am fond of watching the cooks or chef do their cooking.

Four kinds of pizza in one. How extravagant is this!

Gumbo's Jambalaya is full of flavors. Their finest long grain rice and fresh sea food stuffs like shrimps, squids, clams and more mixed with all those herbs and spices. The Jambalaya at Gateway and Megamall tasted the same. May be because they have the same standard measuring of everything. I love the texture in every big spoonful of Jambalaya and of course, of everything we have on our table. Indeed, I consider my food's texture just like of my mom's.

He can finish everything on the table. As in nothing is going to waste!

I am really missing my mom. If she could be here and taste how close her Sinalbahe to Gumbo's Jambalaya, I think she will be amazed. She would be talking about this dish for weeks and will try to twist again her sinalbahe.

My First Art Tap Event--More than Paintings

I and my mom took part in supporting the first Art Tap event through the good heart of Ms. Gracey Fernandez last June 18, 2016 at Metro Club in Makati City. This first Art Tap Event showcased such genius masterpieces of our local artists who are well known and  of those upcoming bright talented artists too. We were very fortunate to learn from the talks which strengthened  the Art Financial Literacy.

These mesmerizing art pieces were sold not higher than 25K. Isn't that awesome?!

The event was a huge success because all were there to support our local artists... our local Filipino artists. This one objective  made me come with my mom to see and be enchanted with this kind of humble paradise of art. As a kid, who loves art,this is a paradise... My mom asked me to go around to see and learn from the works of our local artists but I roamed around to appreciate such great talents. I love art and I really want someday that I will be one of our local  artists whose works will be auctioned. I know my mom would love to hear that alive and kicking voice from the front stage, "Going Once... Going Twice... Sold!!!" 

My favorite "W"! I will have that enough money to buy a part of an artist.

I  want to be that man in red someday.

You know that smile who appreciates art.

I learned so much from this event... when you buy art, it is not only that you are buying  because  the art is beautiful... a part... a soul of the artist is being shared to others... it is in the matter of how you appreciate art as an individual. I will practice more... I also want to share a part of me ... of my soul to everyone who wants to own my work in Art Tap someday.

that pot with cover means it has something in it. That cover is close because leaving it
open is disgusting. Flies and other forms of foreign contaminants might get in causing everything
to spoil...

My First Vende App Beta Lauching

I and my mom got invited by Ms Mae aka Juana Change and Ms Tin to be one of the 50 affiliates/ambassadors/users of the upcoming mobile application called Vende on it's beta launching at Kismet Cafe, Makati City last July 19, 2016. You will never get bored while you wait for your sandwhich because you can
actually watch them do that right before your eyes through this glass windows.

He won't be going out anymore of the room because this 100sqm. floor area room a big playground to live his fantasy of being one with the universe when he used to do that in a carton box. A Piece of Space Landed in Victoria Court

You will know it's Victoria Court when you see this iconic lady in black hat 

Little they know about I and my mom is that we love to escape from our home by checking in a hotel just to sleep. Most of the time, we just sleep but if the hotel or the place we are in have some amenities like pools, library and gym, I would go there and let my mom sleep with the remote control of the wall TV in her hand in the room which is very similar to our own bedroom and which really bores me most of the time because it is like our own room at home... Then last June 9, 2016, my mom got to be a part of TAG Media and Public Relations through the kindness of Ms. Grace Bondad Nicolas, to cover for Victoria Court's newest thematic room, the SPACE WARS. Space wars is the newest addition to Victoria Court Canley, Pasig's thematic room. It is a sci-fi inspired party suite which is complete with all the things and designed, which my mom has grown up to... They had made lived my fantasy of having such universe with space adventures, complete with costumes and accessories in a room which can accommodate at least 25-35 pax. Here are some pictures of the most innovative room I have ever seen and these will surely change your mind in just having a room in a hotel with just a bed and the for corners of it.

bubbles coming out from the water... a flying saucer! This is brilliant!

This Thematic Room is so huge, you can actually have a sword fight with all of the people around you.

If every party he would be here, I would always get a picture of him with my mom.

 You can actually sit here use all the the space buttons, switches and controllers and fly into our fantasy.  

Finally she had her moment of flying to the moon and back. You can actually dance inside the cockpit.

I always see bathrooms as a little boxes in every hotels we have been. This one
is huge! I love this place! So clean and spacious, you can have your party here.

There are 600 led lights in here to mimic the star above us.
Make a wish! who knows it might come true in this room.

As a 14 year old kid, I am used  of sleeping in hotels. But Victoria Court had let me see that rooms are not only for sleeping. They are also for gatherings, bonding with the family and energize oneself from the drain of everyday's stress. When I was little, I used to play make believe in a ref box where I could be everything I want including as a space pilot. Victoria Court gave me this fun in reality and I am thankful for giving this chance to relive the 8 year old kid in me. Victoria Court is for everyone... Thanks for making me happy.
